Clayton man charged in Adrian robbery

ADRIAN - A 40-year-old Clayton, Mich., man has been arrested for his alleged role in a Jan. 18 armed robbery at an Adrian convenience store, Adrian police said.

Scottie Gary was in the Lenawee County jail last night. His bond was set at $1.5 million.

Mr. Gary allegedly entered the 7-Eleven at 304 East Beecher St. at 2:45 a.m. and demanded cash from the clerk. The clerk told police the suspect kept a hand in his pocket, giving the impression he had a gun.

Police are searching for other people whom they believe served as accomplices.
