Ex-restaurateur's trial on sex charge set June 21

BOWLING GREEN - A Perrysburg restaurateur is scheduled to stand trial June 21 in Wood County Common Pleas Court on charges he sexually abused a young girl between June, 2000, and October, 2003.

Judge Robert Pollex scheduled a four-day jury trial for Timothy Kazmaier, 51, during a pretrial hearing yesterday.

Mr. Kazmaier, former owner of TK's restaurant in Perrysburg, was indicted in January, 2004, by a Wood County grand jury on one count of rape, two counts of sexual battery, and three counts of gross sexual imposition.

Prosecutors say the alleged incidents occurred from the time the young victim was 11 until she turned 14.
