A man making a delivery for Papa John's Pizza in South Toledo last night was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money, the pizza bag, and a pizza, Toledo police said.
The man, whom police identified as Michael Loga, was delivering pizza about 9:30 p.m. to an address at Tarkington Avenue near Glanzman Road when a man began walking toward him from the side of what he realized was a vacant house, Toledo police Sgt. Greg Smith said.
Mr. Loga turned around and ran to his car, but the man caught up with him and robbed him. Soon thereafter, police recovered the bag and the pizza.
A man was arrested on unrelated warrants a few blocks away, and police were interviewing him late last night as a possible suspect in the pizza robbery, Sergeant Smith said. The man's name was not released.
