Intruder binds tenant, robs apartment, flees

Lucas County sheriff's detectives are seeking information about a home invasion that took place about 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Hidden Lake Apartments, 7777 West Bancroft St., Springfield Township.

A resident answered his door and was met by a man claiming to be investigating a gas leak. The intruder - described as about 5 feet, 11 inches tall, of possible Middle Eastern or Hispanic origin, with dark curly hair and goatee - pulled a pistol, bound the victim, and robbed his apartment with the aid of a second suspect, identified as a black male.

Neighbors saw a maroon Ford Explorer parked at the scene that may have been used by the robbers. Witnesses also saw a black male wearing a dark sweatshirt with a hood covering his face approach the victim's apartment.

Anyone with information is asked to call 419-213-4917.
