Detroit man arraigned in bid to flee courthouse

ADRIAN A 37-year-old Detroit man who attempted to flee the Lenawee County courthouse during a sentencing hearing last month was arraigned yesterday on charges related to the incident.

Calvin Miller had just received a 45-day sentence in the county s district court on Feb 17 for driving with a suspended license when he fled the courtroom. He was quickly captured without incident.

At yesterday s hearing, Mr. Miller was charged with three felony counts of resisting arrest and a misdemeanor charge of escaping lawful custody. He is being held in the county jail.
