Toledoan suffers gunshot after carryout altercation

A Toledo man was shot in the buttocks yesterday in the 1700 block of Freeman Street after a brief altercation with a man at a nearby carryout, Toledo police said.

Adrian Foster, 29, of Cone Street was being treated last night in Toledo Hospital, police Detective Sgt. Greg Smith said.

Foster was running away from the suspect about 7:30 p.m. when he was shot.

A friend then drove him to a Torrey Hill Drive address, where they called an ambulance, Sergeant Smith said.

The suspect, whose name was not released, fled and was at large last night, police said.
