Michigan man arraigned in fatal November crash

ADRIAN A 40-year-old Manitou Beach man was arraigned yesterday in Lenawee County District Court on manslaughter and negligent homicide charges related to a fatal traffic accident that occurred in November.

Paul Ramsey was northbound on M-52 near Taylor Road Nov. 12 when he passed a tow truck. Mary Beth Doyle, 43, of Ann Arbor, was southbound on M-52. In maneuvering to avoid hitting Mr. Ramsey s truck, Ms. Doyle lost control of her vehicle and struck the tow truck, sheriff s deputies said.

She died in Medical College of Ohio Hospitals, Toledo, the following day.

Mr. Ramsey did not see the accident and kept driving. He was apprehended after a witness wrote down his license plate number and contacted authorities.
