SWANTON - Swanton police are continuing their investigation into a shooting Saturday that hospitalized a Bryan man.
Three Toledo men who are suspects in the shooting were in the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio in Stryker last night, Swanton police Chief Homer Chapa said.
The victim, whose name police would not release because he has refused to talk to them, was in Flower Hospital in Toledo last night with nonlife-threatening injuries, Mr. Chapa said.
He said the man was shot once in the chest with a handgun in a dispute likely involving drugs.
The incident took place in the 100 block of Forrester Avenue Saturday at 3:30 p.m. After the man was shot, the three men were pursued by Fulton County sheriff's deputies on State Rt. 64, where they crashed their vehicle 3 1/2 miles north of Swanton.
Andrew Anderson, Jr., 22, of 1241 East Bancroft St. and John Cavitt, 26, of Chestnut Street were treated at Flower Hospital, where Donte Richardson, 18, of 253 Knower. St. was admitted and released to Stryker.
Mr. Chapa said he will meet with Ohio Highway Patrol troopers and the Fulton County prosecutor today to discuss potential charges.
