Fire yesterday damaged three North Toledo houses, including a vacant structure that ultimately had to be demolished.
The blaze, being investigated as an arson, began about 5 a.m. at the vacant house at 1340 Yates St., where it caused an estimated $20,000 damage, Battalion Fire Chief Mark Klein said.
Heat from the fire caused $10,000 damage to a house at 1342 Yates, including some of the home s interior, and $5,000 damage to the exterior of a house at 1330 Yates, the chief said.
