Escaped suspect nabbed on tip, Fostoria police say

FOSTORIA After eluding police for a month, a Fostoria man who escaped from a Seneca County sheriff s deputy was arrested early Saturday.

Mark Barnett, 41, is being held in the Seneca County jail on charges of escape, possession of crack cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said they received an anonymous tip that Mr. Barnett, who escaped from a sheriff s cruiser July 28, was being harbored at a Lynn Street residence. Officers arrested him without incident about 12:30 a.m.
