Toledo police are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program about a man with a large butcher knife who sexually assaulted a 19-year-old Toledo woman.
The man approached the woman about 3:20 a.m. Sept. 9 and forced her to walk from Lagrange and Streicher streets to an alley in the 4000 block of Caroline Avenue, where she was sexually assaulted. He fled on foot after the assault, police said.
The man was described as black, in his 40s, short with a medium build, with short hair. He was wearing some type of work uniform dark pants and dark shoes and a gray shirt with a rectangular patch on the chest with a name written in cursive. Anyone with information about the man is asked to call the Crime Stopper program. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
