Ottawa County indicts Indiana man in car chase

PORT CLINTON An Indianapolis man who led Ottawa County sheriff s deputies on a 22-mile chase last month has been indicted on three felony charges.

Jeffrey Kiser, 21, is charged with single counts of felonious assault, failure to comply with a police officer, and receiving stolen property.

The Ottawa County Sheriff s Office said Mr. Kiser fled from deputies who tried to stop his car for speeding on Sept. 17. They said Mr. Kiser was driving a stolen car when deputies tried to stop him and tried to hit a police officer during the pursuit.

He has been held in the Ottawa County jail since his arrest.
