A man led police officers on a 14-minute chase last night through the city s north and east sides and the central city before crashing and being arrested, authorities said.
Police said they tried to stop Timothy Darrow, 21, about 9 p.m. at Lagrange and Summit streets for a traffic violation. Instead of pulling over, he allegedly fled.
He crossed the Maumee River, headed toward Oregon on Woodville Road before doubling back and getting on northbound I-75 at Miami Street. He got off the interstate at Detroit Avenue and was pursued back toward the area where the chase started, police said.
After he crashed at Mulberry and Peck streets, he was arrested for failure to comply with an order of a police officer and driving with a suspended license, among other charges.
