Fourteen parking meters were snapped from their bases this week in downtown Toledo, bringing the number of meters that have been reported stolen this year to 33, police said.
ParkSmart reported the theft after a meter in the 400 block of Superior Street and meters on other streets in the area were snatched.
The meters are valued at $500 each, plus the money inside.
Theft investigators said the company reported 11 meters were stolen last month in the downtown area; eight others were taken in May.
