Suspect in 7 robberies held in Lucas County jail

A West Toledo man charged in a series of robberies was being held in the Lucas County jail inlieu of a $200,000 bond after an appearance yesterday in Toledo Municipal Court.

Khalik J. Reed, 32 , of 1303 South Cove Blvd., Apt. 7, is charged in seven holdups last month and carrying a concealed weapon. The weapons charge was filed after police allegedly found him with a loaded handgun when they arrested him Wednesday night.

He is accused of robbing various businesses, including a hotel, restaurants, pharmacies, and a gas station.
