Man in critical condition after being struck by car

A South Toledo man was hit by a car early yesterday morning while crossing Lagrange Street near Mettler Street after leaving a bar, police said.

Christopher Grace was taken to St. Vincent Mercy Hospital, where he was in critical condition yesterday, a hospital spokesman said.

Mr. Grace was attempting to cross Lagrange after leaving the Lion s Den Bar and Grill, 2814 Lagrange St., about 2:15 a.m. He was hit by a car being driven southbound on Lagrange by Sandra Petsche of East Toledo, police said.

No charges have been filed, and the accident is under investigation.
