Kentucky State Police have arrested a 15-year-old Lambertville youth wanted for a series of arsons in Bedford Township, authorities said.
The boy, whose name was not released because of his age, was stopped on southbound I-75 Tuesday morning near Richmond, north of Lexington. The youth was driving a pickup belonging to his father. The father reported it missing early Tuesday.
The teen faces arson charges related to a pair of fires set outside a Kroger store at Sterns and Secor roads in January and a nearby Foodtown in February, Detective Tom Redmond of the Monroe County Sheriff's Office said. The teen is a suspect in several other fires during the same period, he said.
Detective Redmond said the boy will be returned to the county and held at the youth detention center.
