Help sought in shooting on Woodland

Toledo police are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program about the March 18 shooting of a man in a car in front of 1324 Woodland Ave.

Ervin Mitchell, 34, of 1123 Avondale Ave. remains in a coma in Toledo Hospital, police said.

He was shot four times about 3:30 p.m., the police said.

A police report stated that Mr. Mitchell was able to tell them he was shot by a man who lived in a house next to an open field.

The suspect may be a black male by the name of "Wally," police said.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Crime Stopper program.

Callers may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward.
