Toledo police promoted two command officers yesterday, one to deputy chief, the other to captain.

Capt. Ron Spann, of the investigative services bureau, was promoted to deputy chief. The 33-year veteran will remain in investigative services. Deputy Chief Spann, 57, is married with three daughters and four grandchildren.

Lt. Cynthia Bobash was promoted to captain and assigned to the communication section. Captain Bobash, 53, joined the force 28 years ago. She is married and has one daughter.

The promotions came less than a week after Deputy Chief Michael Schroeder retired after 33 years. He was deputy chief of investigative services.
