At least $50,000 worth of copper wire has been taken from the construction site of the new Owens-Illinois building site in Perrysburg, authorities said.
The theft was reported Monday morning to Perrysburg police and was believed to have occurred Saturday or Sunday, police said.
Hundreds of thousands of feet of wire, weighing several tons, was taken. The copper was in various sizes and rolled in various lengths, police said.
