A Toledo woman accused of running over her sister with her sport utility vehicle was being held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond after arraignment yesterday in Toledo Municipal Court.
Priscilla Belmon, 38, of 1211 Higley St. was charged with felonious assault after she ran over Sandra Washington s legs and body before fleeing the scene of the incident Tuesday night, police said.
An initial police report indicated the victim and suspect were mother and daughter, which The Blade reported Thursday.
But yesterday, the detective investigating the assault said the two women are sisters.
Ms. Washington, 45, and Tishika Simmons, 25, were treated at Toledo Hospital after the incident in the 1400 block of Palmetto Avenue. Ms. Belmon allegedly ran over Ms. Washington and hit Kenwanna Simmons, 22, with her SUV and struck Tishika Simmons in the head with part of a club during the incident, police said
