A Toledo man was shot in the leg yesterday in a North Toledo bar-dance hall and an Oregon man was being held in the Lucas County jail charged with the shooting, authorities said.
Lance Roscoe, of 505 Jefferson Ave., was treated at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. Antonio Doria, 24, of 3224 Dogwood Drive was being held on felonious assault, carrying a concealed weapon, receiving stolen property, and weapons under disability counts. He is to be arraigned tomorrow in Toledo Municipal Court.
Police were outside Vamps, 910 Phillips Ave., about 2:30 a.m. when patrons came out chasing the suspect, claiming he had a gun. Officers arrested him and found a 22-caliber handgun on the ground at his feet. They returned to the bar and found the victim and a 22-caliber shell casing. A check showed the gun was stolen, police said.
