A Toledo man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend more than two years ago was indicted for murder yesterday by a Lucas County grand jury.
Damiene Boles, 34, of 2134 Hawthorne St., is accused of killing Cori Key, 26, on July 30, 2004. Ms. Key, who had been stabbed once in the chest, was found at about 6:30 p.m. the next day in her Oakwood Avenue home.
A 1995 Central Catholic High School graduate, Ms. Key was the mother of two children. Mr. Boles is the father of one of them.
While Mr. Boles had been a suspect in the murder since the initial investigation, police said, new information was revealed recently that led to his arrest on Dec. 14. He remained in the Lucas County jail yesterday in lieu of $500,000 bond.
