Mr. Brown told police two unknown men entered his home atbout 1:50 a.m. today through a side window, shot him and left. The reason for the shooting remains under investigation.

Mr. Brown was taken to St. Vincent by Life Squad, but his injury was not considered life-threatening. He was admitted and is reported to be in good condition.

While police were at St. Vincent investigating the first victim, they were told a second gunshot victim had been brought to the hospital. They later learned Mr. Knowles was also at the Leland Avenue address when he was shot.

Mr. Knowles underwent surgery and no further information was immediately available about this condition.
