Five people were displaced by a fire yesterday at a house in Spencer Township, authorities said.
The blaze started in a bedroom at 9731 Oak Bend Ave. about 2:20 p.m. The cause was undetermined yesterday, authorities said.
Firefighters contained the blaze to the bedroom, but the rest of the house had smoke and water damage. No damage estimate was available.
According to Lucas County Auditor records, the four-bedroom home is owned by Queneva Hughes.
The Greater Toledo Area Chapter of the American Red Cross is assisting four adults and a child with food, clothing, and shelter, spokesman Jodie Tienvieri said.
