The Ohio Department of Public Safety Investigative Unit made 21 arrests and issued four citations against liquor permits during the weekend as a result of Operation St. Patrick s 2007, Earl Mack, agent in charge of Toledo enforcement, said.
He said most of the establishments agents visited did a good job of keeping patrons safe.
We visited a total of nine liquor establishments between Bowling Green and Toledo, Mr. Mack said in an e-mail. I was quite impressed with the measures in place to make sure people arrived home safely I observed at some bars, based on the amount of people enjoying St. Patrick s Day events.
Mr. Mack said permit holders cited over the weekend for furnishing and selling liquor to an intoxicated person were The River Trust, which held an event at the Erie Street Market, 237 South Erie St.; Kamakazis Inc. in Bowling Green, and Lex Loci Corp. of Bowling Green.
HTOWN Ltd. of 711 Marmion Ave. was cited for consumption and delivery of beer after hours.
