Oregon family of 5 left homeless by fire
A fire of a yet undetermined origin left two adults and four children homeless Saturday night, fully destroying a house at 5605 Cedar Point Rd. in Oregon, authorities said yesterday.
No one was home when fire crews arrived at the scene about 11:53 p.m. and found the single-story, wood frame house fully engaged by the blaze, Oregon Fire Chief Bill Wilkins said.
The Greater Toledo Chapter of the American Red Cross assisted the family.
The house was a total loss. The cause of the fire remained under investigation yesterday, Chief Wilkins said.
