An east Toledo man was arrested after he apparently stabbed another man early this morning near Caledonia and Whittemore streets on the city s east side, police said.
Frank Papio, 38, the stabbing victim, was taken to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Sgt. Tim Noble said. Mr. Papio is in fair condition, a hospital spokesman said.
Todd Williams, 42, of 2113 Caledonia, was arrested for his role in the stabbing, charged with felonious assault, and taken to the Lucas County jail, Sergeant Noble said.
The stabbing occurred about 2 a.m. in the 2100 block of Caledonia during an altercation between the two men, who know each other. It was unclear what caused the altercation, Sergeant Noble said.
