A 23-year-old man was hurt critically in a fight last night in the 1700 block of Alvin Street near Oakwood Avenue in west Toledo, authorities said.
Mycal Harris, whose address was not released, was taken to Toledo Hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition, Toledo police said. A nursing supervisor at the hospital said this morning that he had no information about a person by that name.
Mr. Harris was walking down the street about 8:50 p.m. when he was approached by Shantez Harvis, 26, of 1922 Alvin. The men began to argue and got into a physical confrontation, with friends of Mr. Harvis joining the fight, officers said.
Mr. Harris suffered a head injury after he was knocked down and kicked. Mr. Harvis was identified as the main aggressor, they said.
