Three men were arrested yesterday after a South Toledo woman saw them running from her home and reported their vehicle s license plate number to Toledo police, authorities said.
Antwan Mayes, 20, of 1104 Alldays Ave. and Omar Scott, 32, of 1115 Norwood Ave. are each charged with one count of burglary. A third man, John Jones, 33, of 1447 Prospect Ave., was charged with receiving stolen property. All were in the Lucas County jail last night.
The woman returned home about 9:40 a.m. and saw two suspects run from her residence and get into a vehicle, authorities said. She called 911 and reported their plates to police, who drove to 1115 Norwood, where the vehicle is registered, a police report said.
The three suspects were in a garage and fled when officers arrived. They were arrested after a brief chase, authorities said.
Police searched the woman s house to look for additional stolen items and reported finding drugs. Her name was not released, and authorities are continuing to investigate.
