FOSTORIA - A Fostoria man accused of stealing a car, fleeing from police, and later coughing up several plastic bags that contained suspected crack cocaine was being held without bond in the city jail on a long list of charges, authorities said.
Chandler Parker, 22, was charged with possession of drugs, trafficking in drugs, escape, tampering with evidence, receiving stolen property, and driving while under suspension.
According to Fostoria police, officers received a complaint of a suspicious vehicle on East Fremont Street just before 6 p.m. Sunday. Police stopped Mr. Parker, who had been seen walking away from a car that was reported stolen.
Mr. Parker was arrested and taken to the city jail, where he broke away from officers and fled on foot. He was picked up shortly afterward, and while being booked, he vomited up the bags of suspected cocaine.
He was treated at Fostoria Community Hospital and returned to jail.
