SWANTON A man armed with a handgun yesterday robbed the First Federal of Delta bank branch and fled with an undisclosed amount of money, the FBI said.
The man entered the branch, 123 North Main St., about 1:15 p.m. and gave a teller a note demanding money and indicating he had a weapon, the FBI said.
After the man was given the money, a bank employee followed the man outside and confronted him. The robber pointed a handgun at the employee and ordered the employee back inside the bank, the FBI said.
