A 16-year-old North Toledo boy has been arrested for shooting a family member after an argument.
The boy and Ann Ruiz, whose age was unavailable, got into a fight about 10:15 p.m. Saturday at her home in the 200 block of Eastern Avenue in South Toledo.
When Ms. Ruiz went into the house and shut the door, the boy fired several bullets in her direction, one of which went through the door and struck her, police said.
Ms. Ruiz was treated at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center for a wound to her back, police said.
Police went to the boy s home and arrested him for felonious assault after the incident.
Information about how the boy and Ms. Ruiz are related and what the fight was about was unavailable yesterday.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
