Purse, car are stolen at BP on Detroit Ave. on Sunday

Police continued yesterday to investigate a robbery at a BP gas station in central Toledo on Sunday during which a woman s purse and car were stolen.

Sharde Petty, 22, told police she was standing in line at the gas station, 2315 Detroit Ave., about 2:40 a.m. when a man grabbed her purse containing her keys.

The robber left the store, got into her 1997 gold Pontiac Grand Prix, and headed north on Detroit toward Central Avenue, police said.
