Toledo man wounded in 18th Street shooting
A 24-year-old central Toledo man was shot and critically wounded yesterday morning near the downtown, police said.
Brian King was taken to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, police Sgt. Tim Noble said.
Mr. King was listed in critical condition last night, according to a hospital spokesman.
Police arrived at 321 18th St. about 5:15 a.m. and found Mr. King lying in the parking lot with a large crowd gathered around him, police said.
Mr. King told police a man shot him before fleeing in a white, small, older-model car. Police said the suspect is unknown to the victim.
Police would not release any more information about the suspect yesterday.
