FREMONT - A bullet struck a tractor-trailer rig eastbound on the Ohio Turnpike about 8:50 p.m. Friday in Sandusky County's Riley Township, dispatchers from the Sandusky County Sheriff's Office said.
No one was hurt, and the name of the truck driver was not available yesterday.
The driver told authorities he pulled over when he heard a loud pop, a sound he presumed would indicate a flat tire. Instead he found his tires intact, but a bullet hole on one of the doors of his rig.
Authorities checked the area near Township Road 198 but found no suspects.
