Free fingerprinting for children slated

Operation KidSafe, an organization that offers free children's fingerprinting and photographs, will visit a pair of local car dealerships this weekend.

It plans to stop from 1 to 6 p.m. tomorrow at Ed Schmidt Chevrolet-Hummer, 1425 Reynolds Rd., Maumee, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Ed Schmidt Auto Group, 26875 North Dixie Hwy., Perrysburg.

The organization gives parents a printout that can be given to police in case a child is missing. It does not save a copy of the fingerprints or photos.
