A fire of suspicious origin late Monday caused an estimated $5,000 damage to a South Toledo pallet company, fire authorities said.
There were no reported injuries.
Toledo fire crews arrived to a warehouse at Superior Packaging, 2958 Airport Highway, about 11:15 p.m. and saw flames at the unoccupied structure, Battalion Fire Chief Christine Davis said.
Firefighters extinguished the fire in about 30 minutes, Chief Davis said.
The cause of the fire was being investigated as suspicious, Battalion Fire Chief Christine Davis said Tuesday afternoon.
She did not elaborate, saying only there was no evidence that fireworks had been involved.
Fireworks were blamed for a blaze early Saturday that destroyed nine buildings in a South Toledo complex, displacing about 200 tenants and causing an estimated $5-million to $6-million damage.
