South Toledo man shot in the leg remains in jail

A South Toledo man who was shot in the leg Tuesday remained in the Lucas County jail last night in lieu of $50,000 bond after he was charged with assaulting another man during a struggle for the weapon, authorities said.

Vicktron Moore, 26, of 284 Kingswood Trail Drive was arraigned yesterday in Toledo Municipal Court on a charge of felonious assault. He was treated at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center after being wounded about 5:45 p.m.

Moore and about 10 people were fighting in the 1400 block of Lincoln Avenue when the suspect hit Terrence Williamson, 26, of central Toledo over the head with a gun, authorities said. Mr. Williamson suffered a gash to his forehead that was closed with sutures.

During a struggle over the weapon, Moore was shot. It was unclear who shot him, authorities said.
