Toledo father accused of trying to kill daughter indicted

A Toledo man accused of trying to kill himself and his 3-year-old daughter by asphyxiation was indicted yesterday by a Lucas County grand jury.

Thomas Bragg, 46, of 4129 Willys Pkwy. was indicted on two counts of attempted murder and one count of felonious assault. He was being held in the county jail in lieu of a $400,000 bond.

Authorities said Mr. Bragg attached a hose from his vehicle s exhaust pipe to a rear passenger window, sealed that window with duct tape, and left the vehicle running with him and his daughter inside on July 9 at Telegraph and West Stateline roads.

Someone saw the vehicle and called police. The girl was unharmed, authorities said.
