An 18-year-old man was arrested after a fight yesterday morning in Holland in which two people were stabbed, the Lucas County Sheriff's Office said.
Justin Fafard of West Toledo was charged with two counts of felonious assault. He is being held in the Lucas County jail pending arraignment in Sylvania Municipal Court.
Yesterday's fight stemmed from an ongoing dispute that Mr. Farard and a 17-year-old friend, who authorities would not identify, had with Brice Krajewski, 18, and Brad Cordrey, 18, who are stepbrothers, deputies said.
Mr. Farard and the 17-year-old returned to the unidentified boy's home in the 9000 block of Geiser Road after 9 a.m. and found windows broken in the house and garage, and they assumed the brothers had done it, deputies said.
So they went down the block to the Cordrey home and started a fight with the stepbrothers, deputies said.
Mark Cordrey, 41, the father of Brad and stepfather of Brice, was stabbed in the left side of his abdomen during a tussle with Mr. Fafard, who was swinging wildly and apparently also stabbed the 17-year-old boy twice in the back, deputies said.
Mr. Cordrey and the 17-year-old were taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center, formerly the Medical College of Ohio Hospital, for treatment.
