Lucas County sheriff s deputy assaulted at downtown bank

A female Lucas County sheriff s deputy was hurt Monday morning when she was assaulted by another woman at the Fifth Third Bank s Madison-Huron branch at 606 Madison Ave. in downtown Toledo.

The deputy, whose name was not released, was treated at the scene.

The deputy was seen on the lobby floor, pinning down the assailant shortly after the branch opened at 9 a.m.

The assailant was heard yelling, demanding her money, according to witnesses.

The Lucas County Sheriff s office released no information about the incident as of 10 a.m.
