A man with a note demanding money yesterday robbed a Charter One bank branch in West Toledo and fled with an undisclosed amount of money, authorities said.
The man, wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses, walked into the branch at 5911 Lewis Ave., near Alexis Road, about 9:40 a.m., and indicated he had a gun although none was seen, authorities said.
The suspect was described as white, in his 40s, between 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and weighing 170 to 180 pounds. He was wearing a blue sweatshirt, jeans, and was unshaven, authorities said.
