Man robs Charter One branch on Alexis at noon

A West Toledo bank branch was robbed yesterday by a man with a tattoo on the right side of his neck, authorities said.

The man walked into the Charter One Bank branch, 3230 West Alexis Rd., about noon and handed the teller a note demanding money. He fled in a green minivan with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man was described as white, unshaven with a goatee and mustache. He was in his late 20s, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and weighing about 170 pounds.

He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a swirl or sunburst design, blue jeans, and a cap bearing the number 3.
