Fostoria teen injured in crash

FOSTORIA — A Fostoria teenager was injured in a single-vehicle crash Monday evening on Hancock County Road 226 east of Washington Township Road 261, sheriff's deputies said.

Andrew A. Pool, 18, was westbound on County Road 226 shortly before 5 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve and lost control of his car, deputies said. His car went off the left side of the road and hit a tree before coming to a stop in front of a home at 21829 County Road 226.

Mr. Pool, who was alone in the car was taken to Fostoria Community Hospital for treatment. A spokesman said the hospital did not have a patient by that name.

Mr. Pool was cited for failing to control his vehicle.
