FREMONT -- A Martin, Ohio, woman is dead as the result of a motorcycle-van crash in Sandusky County's Ballville Township southwest of Fremont, the Ohio Highway Patrol reported Sunday.
Annette Brewster, 62, was killed when her motorcycle collided about 10:15 p.m. Saturday with a minivan driven by Taylor Flick, 16, of Fremont at the intersection of State Rt. 53 and Sandusky County Road 41, troopers from the patrol's Fremont post said.
Miss Flick was not injured.
Ms. Brewster was northbound on Route 53 when Miss Flick, who was eastbound on County Road 41, failed to yield the right of way, according to the report.
Ms. Brewster struck Miss Flick's minivan and was thrown from her motorcycle.
She was wearing a helmet.
Troopers said the crash investigation is ongoing, but alcohol did not appear to be a factor.
The case is to be forwarded to the Sandusky County Juvenile Prosecutors Office for review after the investigation is completed.
