FREMONT — Police are looking to clear up outstanding misdemeanor warrants, but Chief Tim Wiersma said the accused will have the chance to resolve their own court cases first.
Chief Wiersma said anyone who has an active warrant and owes the city money or jail time can contact Fremont Municipal Court next week to work out a payment plan for fines and court costs or a plan to serve jail time. After that, he said, police will be arresting people.
Chief Wiersma said the court has about 100 outstanding misdemeanor warrants dating back five to six years.
