A woman suspected of shoplifting led officers from several law enforcement agencies on a chase late Thursday through Sylvania Township, Ottawa Hills, and Toledo before she was arrested about 8:30 p.m. at Penn and Paisley roads in West Toledo, authorities said.
The chase began about 8:15 p.m. at the Kohl’s Department Store, 1220 South Holland-Sylvania Rd. in Sylvania Township.
Lucas County sheriff’s deputies were called to the store, where the woman was being held by security. She argued with security officers and, when deputies arrived, she ran from the store and drove off.
At one point, her car was followed by deputies, police, and troopers with the Ohio Highway Patrol.
The woman's identity and charges have not been released. No injuries were reported.
