Leipsic woman killed in ATV crash
Passenger in critical condition
LEIPSIC, Ohio -- A Leipsic woman and her passenger were ejected from an ATV when it struck a utility pole about 6:30 Saturday night, a news release from the Ohio State Highway patrol said.
Brenda L. Schulte, 22, and Brian J. Berger, 19, both of Leipsic, were wesbound on Road B, west of Road 6 on a Suzuki ATV when the vehicle when off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole.
Both riders were ejected from the vehicle.
Ms. Schulte was pronounced dead at the scene, and Mr. Berger was transported to St. Rita's Hospital in critical condition.
The crash remains under investigation.
Leipsic is about 57 miles south of Toledo, and about 20 miles northwest of Findlay.
