54-year-old Findlay man dies in motorcycle crash


McCOMB, Ohio — A Findlay man was killed over the weekend when his motorcycle went off the road about two miles south of McComb.

Rodney L. Winkle, 54, was pronounced dead at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay shortly after the crash, which was reported at 3:51 p.m. Saturday.

According to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, Mr. Winkle was southbound on State Rt. 186 just south of County Road 96 when he began rounding a curve, went off the road, and struck a utility pole. His motorcycle then rolled several times before stopping .

Deputies said Mr. Winkle was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
